Can someone help me with this ato setup! I’m trying to make sure I plug the extension cord and 12volt power supply in my wall. And I’ve done everything in the video but I’m not getting nothing.

Can you take some pictures of what you have done, along with the model numbers of the relay and base?

Here’s the jumbo of a mess that I wired up per the video.

I know you are quite far into this but I'll try to help. When I have done my diy ato, I use a simple relay. Mechanical or triac. Start with the float and low voltage. Connect one lead of float to one lead of the low voltage power. Connect other lead of the power to one side of the signal part of relay. Put other lead of float to other signal post. This way when switch closes the circuit, it completed power.

Is it possible that you’re using the wrong lead of the extension cord ?

Low voltage will be the coil or control side of the relay. This is where you hook your float switch. High voltage will be the switch or load side of the relay. This is where you hook your pump. I'd link pictures but I'm on the work PC.

Correct. The ribbed wire is the neutral. The wire inside the smooth would be connected to the (hot) wire.
