Help with busted salt box from amazon

Hey guys so my salt was delivered today from amazon as the seller and distributor and the box was destroyed one of the bags was slashed open and overall I was not happy with how the product was shipped. if that doesn't make it bad the mailman left it in the rain instead of at my door or under the garage which both options were not much further than where he dropped it off. I was wondering how I should go about getting a replacement shipped. My issue is that sending back this salt would prove very difficult as the box which it was shipped in was soggy and destroyed. Any ideas. I couldn't find an amazon phone number to call.

Let your seller know too. I just received a glass heater broken . I'm returning that one.

Amazon will refund use the site and make a case they will refund and take it to a center to send back free of charge.

Take it to koles to return it if they want it back. Koles is handling amazon returns now. Id contact amazon first. Never had a issue with them making something right.

First of all, this makes as much sense as If I state “always buy from Amazon, problem solved” with no explanation. Are you contending that the Postal Service only abuses and destroys packages coming from Amazon? And how was the problem solved if he already has a product and needs to return it or in someway get a refund?

First of all, Amazon has an easy way to return items if you know where to look. They have never let me down. Secondly, after watching my poor mailman (he weights about 140 lbs soaking wet) deliver one of those boxes, I stopped getting it from Amazon and started going to the LFS. Hopefully that's an option for you

Every IO box I have ordered from Amazon (or other) has arrived that way shipped. The boxes are VERY HEAVY and get beat up pretty easy. Amazon has great return services and I am sure you will have no issue. My guess is that they wont want you to return.

I don't get my salt from amazon, but have seen how they sometimes don't use reason or common sense when things get packaged.
I've had 20lb bags of sand in the flimsiest boxes. And the way it slides around inside the box it probably weakens the box every time it's moved.

Recently I bought some RPM salt from Premium Aquatics and they put the box of salt inside another box that looks like it was specifically for boxes of salt.
It was very heavy duty and had convenient hand holes in each side.

It’s easy to return. Just call amazon and request a return. Amazon has great customer service. This also happened to me. Just hold onto the bags and when you receive the new box return the old ones in the new box. It’s what I did.
