Help with duetto ATO

So I seem to have the opposite problem. My Duet ATO was working for about a month, now my pump is not pumping the water all the way up into the tank. It goes about 3/4 of the way and stops. XPAqua sent me a new pump and its the same thing. I have the siphon break in correctly, the water just drips back into the reservoir from the siphon break. I don't understand why it changed/stopped.
How much higher is the end of the tube from the pump? Also maybe some salt dried in the tube and it’s causing some blockage?

Sounds like a siphon issue try lowering the siphon maybe, it's not under water right

So here's what happened to my duetto ATO

Installed it an a 50g all in one, pump was below the tank and had 20g of top off water. It cycled on and off a few times through the couple of hours I was in the office so I figured all was good.

Woke up at 3am with the alarm beeping. Walked down the hallway and felt the squish of water under the wood floor. The ato had pumped all 20 gallons into the tank. I had to rip the floor up and replace half of the room.

I contacted BRS (who I bought it through) and they got my in contact with the manufacturer. They sent a prepaid label and I shipped the ato back to them. Got an email three days later saying, We tested the pump and sensor and it was defective, but we never had it fill past an inch over the sensor.
^^ you see what they did there. Admitted the product was defective, but still managed to blame me for causing it to overfill.

They replaced it. It sat in my garage for months, I set up a new coral frag system and used it. I constantly have issues with it not filling enough water and the alarm going off.

On the flip side. I've had the same ATO on my 180g display with ABSOLUTELEY ZERO ISSUES for about 1.5yrs.

Just like any manufacturer there will be defective products. Even Ryan at BRS had a Tunze get stuck in the off position within just a few months of being installed.

I love the ato duetto. I currently have three of them installed in different tanks. Definitely need to installed the cut off siphon between you tubing if you haven't.

I did have an overflow in the sump past my sensor not too long ago because i didn't think I needed to install that siphon cut off. i have the sensor placed in my sump and you should install it in a low flow area. if you have an aio tank i would probably place it in the the middle chamber or the last chamber where the water is going out.

I have one and I am less than impressed. Barely one year after owning (purchased brand new and cost $120) both the pump and eye/sensor went. Cost another $70 to buy new pump and sensor from mfg. now $190 into my ato. For that price I could of got a Tunze.
