help with MP40

Have you been on EcoTech's support website? You can check to see if other owners have had the same or similar problem and find th3 response from their reps. You can also post your problem and a rep will respond. You can also call and talk personally to someone. Here's a link to their support : Support | EcoTech Marine had a MP60 that needed repaired and their help was awesome :0) Good luck!

Oh, you might want to try turning it ON when both sides are NOT connected,, Then line them up that way...just make sure that you have a very tight hold on both pieces

Ok so update. woke up and dryside had dropped , had it hanging by a zip tie. So I clean glass really well redo the spacer, guess I was off by one. Hooked it up and there was a bit of noise still. But I had to help a fellow reefer move a tank so I left. On the 40 min drive I called Ecotech. Spoke to I believe Eric. I asked him about the dryside. He said if you remove it and there is no bad noise from the dryside its fine. So he said how long was it out of water before I used it and I told him a couple hours. He advised me to just let it run for 24 hours and see how the sound was. I came home a little bit ago and the noise had subsided by at least 50% I cant even hear it now when the tv is on where last night it was Overblaring to say the lease so for now all seems good

Is it properly aligned? When aligned right they are not loud. That would be my guess if no noise is coming from the dry side by itself or not stopping when swapping wet sides. Make sure you have it set for the right glass thickness as well.

Sounds like the 50% noise reduction is helping...great! That's good that you double checked the spacer as it's important. Every now and then I have to move my 40's and 60 a smidge because they can move just enough to start making a slight noise. Sounds like you may be out of the woods :0)

lol! I run mine at 30 percent or less on my 125 (i have two mp10s on the back wall though) When I was full SPS I had them at about 80 and it was pretty wild.
