Yes lol confused me more why don't you lol but I'm going to ask the person from my LFs to see what he saysok, that's probably your problem. most LFS don't change the filters as often as they should. I suggest investing in a basic rodi unit for your home. you can get them on ebay for 100 bucks and up. I use a 6 stage unit but ignore the idea of stages. my "6 stage" is actually only a 5 stage and really you only need a 4 stage. confusing right lol
Why substrate do you use? A few of us here have experienced this problem and we are trying to narrow it down to a cause. So far all of us who have had it use Carib Sea Fiji pink sand.

So the picture reflects a week of growth? After you wipe it off how soon does it look like the picture?![]()
How do I get rid of that stuff on my glass I wide it off but then a week later comes back.
I get my salt from my lfs and he used Red Sea coral proHm, what salt do you use? One of the guys here has a very mature tank and has always had that algae. We think due to the substrate.
Maybe a week or soSo the picture reflects a week of growth? After you wipe it off how soon does it look like the picture?
Ok thanks I'll will do thatIf thats a year old tank and thats all you got - good job!
It looks like a little cyano to me...in the flow areas - which means phosphate is up but not too much... relative to nitrate.
I'd keep doing what your doing - wipe it off and add a nem or a coral or two to suck up the excess nutrients. Your clowns would agree.
