Woke up to my Swissguard Basslet with what appears to be a white bump. What needs to be done to help him?

Looks to me like it's just cut like from rock or a fight.
That's what I was thinking too. My Randall's Prawn goby is a jerk and jaws at all the fish when he gets into his mood. The swissguard probably tried to slip away and bumped the rock.

I agree, most likely an injury. How long have you had him? Keep an eye on it for infection. Maybe soak it's food in vita-chem to boost its immune system. If it starts to deteriorate/spread antibiotics might be in order.

I think is not the White Ports Parasitic diseases. Observe for a few days ,if the white ports no increase.Maybe is fight .

Agree with this

I have had him for a year. I use vita Chem. He does not want eat right now. So I dosed the tank with with 20 drops of vita chem and it is a 40g.

+1 to all above... it looks like it could be a mild case of lymph as well

It does kind of look lymph-like, I thought that too. But, it I've seen bacterial things start like that as well.

He a has long white stringy poop now. What do I need to get.

Metroplex/focus mixed with food will take care of it. You can feed it to him in the DT, just small amounts at a time so most of it is consumed.

I have 5 other fish. Is it going to bother them and how much should I use. Say if I did a cube of mysis or brine?

It's one scoop of each per tablespoon of food. Feed what they will eat, at least twice daily, for 10 days. It won't bother the other fish. Chances are if one has them, they all could.

Oi.. Thank you. Now I need to hunt this stuff down. And yes my heart just sank when you said they all could have it.

He is not eating at all though.

Ok, if he's not eating then you are going to want to get him into QT. You can then dose the water in hopes he will drink enough to help with the parasites.

Also, I would probably just go ahead and start kanaplex in the QT as well, just in case he is suffering from some kind of secondary bacterial infection.

As long as the other fish are eating you can still feed them the medicated food in the DT, just in case. It won't hurt.

Internal parasites are passed from fish to fish when they eat each other's waste [emoji40]
