My Tank Thread
If you can only detect nitrates with no signs of ammonia and nitrites then you should be cycled.Thank you very much. Does this mean now my rock is curing. When would it be safe to add rock. I’m also burning. 2kj of live cured Fiji rock will that help
If you have cured Figi, then you can add that in too.
Also I have got Red Sea nitrate and phosphate remover should I use it? Or just keep doing regular water changes. again thanks
I rather stick with water changes before I'd feel the need to dose Nopox.
Either way...
Bring down your phos. and nitrates real slow.
Might want to grab these two test kits:
1) Hanna ULR Checker / for phosphates (got to keep the vials squeaky clean)
Here's a cheat sheet for the ULR checker (ppb to ppm)
2) Salifert / for Nitrates
If you feel good about things after testing. You can add beginner corals like mushroom and other softies.
It would be best to setup a quarantine tank to hold (observe and treat) before adding anything new to your display.
