I just came home with a Melanurus/Pinkface Wrasse. He immediately went under a rock and was peeking out and watching. 5 min later, he is nowhere to be seen. I don’t even see him behind my rock. He did NOT jump out.

Like they typically do, it likely divebombed into gravel for the night. When lights go on in the morning - YOU WILL see it swimming around and even asking for something to eat. Each day about 7p or so- it will go to bed

Thanks man! Had me freakin out lol. I thought he hid and died

he just a little scared. my wrasse hid all day when i got him, and the next day he was out and swimming around! just so you know, they can be sensitive in the first couple of weeks, and he might hid a little more, or he might warm up pretty quickly. it just depends on the fish :)
