I just came home with a Melanurus/Pinkface Wrasse. He immediately went under a rock and was peeking out and watching. 5 min later, he is nowhere to be seen. I don’t even see him behind my rock. He did NOT jump out.

Like they typically do, it likely divebombed into gravel for the night. When lights go on in the morning - YOU WILL see it swimming around and even asking for something to eat.
