HELPPPPP PLEASEEEE

Sorry for your loss. Good luck with moving the tank! You should be fine as long as you keep dong water changes for a few weeks. Once you set it up I would suggest doing a 4 gallon water change every week for the first month. Also check the levels (if you have a test kit) every couple days to make sure everything is stable.

Welcome to R2R! Sorry that your loss is what has thrown you into this wonderful hobby. Ask all the questions you have, the only dumb questions are the ones you don't ask. You'll get through this and love the beauty of this great hobby!

Sorry for your loss. I hope once you have moved the tank you learn to love this addicting hobby. Do you have a reef store nearby? Aka LFS which stands for local reef shop. You have to get RODI (reverse osmosis deionize water). Tap water will kill everything. Did your cousin have a RODI system in her house? It's better to have RODI system installed in your home so you can make salt water anytime you need it. Good luck. Your learning curve will be steep but stay diligent and you will love the tank. I learned a lot from Mrsaltwatertank.com

I don't think you need to buy any equipment at all. If I were you I would buy a couple 10 gallon jugs of saltwater already made from like a petco or local fish store. For a small tank you wouldn't need much to do water changes.

It's really not as hard as people make it out to be. I would follow the directions above to make the move and set up with the new salt water. I know you can do it! It's rewarding and it would give you an awesome memorial of your cousin that you can see everyday. No pressure though but I would def give it a try
