Just an FYI, the heater you have pictured in your 29g QT(if still there) is the same one I had in my DT and it cracked and exposed tank to whatever is inside. I didn't notice right away either....

Consider a utility sink with a sump pump attached. It will be able to pump the water overhead to the pipes. Those with float switches would be best.
