Here we go again ! ! !

I’ve gone with the Marco rock as it’s natural and it looks fantastic. Just waiting for Mr Postie-Man to bring it to my door. “Hurry up, there’s people that need Aquascape here” ! !

Tank and weir shot. Did try to euros it but it was crap to be honest so I went with the tried and tested low pipes cut on the 45 degree angle. Bloody thing is completely silent now. Happy camper

Made a refugium based on Coral Euphorias instructions. I made it as Abe would say “Ghetto” as it’s an old Redsea salt tub sticking out the top of my sump lol. Just waiting for the kessil to turn up and find a Clean source of Chaeto ( pronounced cheeeeto ) not Kato . Would love your thoughts on it @coraleuphoria image.jpg

I agree . Very nice build, are you quarantining your pair of Genicanthus?
No, but I’ll tell you what I’ve done different this time round. There is a very well respected fish shop in Harlow in Essex called Advanced Aquarium Consultancy OR ( AAC ). I buy ALL of my fish / inverts / ( corals when I start adding them ) there. I haven’t quarantined anything as they do that to a certain extent. And touch wood, everything is great and thriving .I think buying from multiple shops Willy Nilly, is like sucking on a time bomb ! ! Just my thoughts !

My weir-box is 99% silent. The 50mm bulkhead is t being used now so I’m in a bit of a quandary on what to use it for ?

It contains 4 drains, 3 x 32mm and one at 50mm. I was going to use the 50mm as a closed loop - but thinking about it I recon that the sheer flow and drain of water from tbe weir box down a 50mm pipe may create so much noise that me and my family will all have to wear ear muffs as a precaution.

Love that guy for this idea, what pump you use for it?

I’m not Lol, luckily I have a spare 32mm drain from the weirbox I’ll put a gate valve on it. I asked Abe what flow he uses and he recommended 300l/hr so I did some math hahahahaha hate math. So it works out that I need 5 litres a minute to achieve that flow rate. In no expert but I love the idea of it so it’s worth doing and worth doing right - just struggling to find a clean Chaeto source. Everywhere’s sold out.

I’ve got a dd jump guard on the tank due to the lovely wrasse I have and intend to have. Great but if not and so simple to put together ( I am not sponsored ) just for the record lol
