Back when I first got into reefing, I pronounced Anemone as “Ani-moan”.
I still pronounce Pocilliora as “Pa-sill-o-pour-a”.

I guess I say it more like Poss-illa-pour-a. With a slight pause after “Poss”. Not sure what is technically correct.

I've heard this a few times by people way smarter than me.

Acropora: uh-CROP-o-ra, as opposed to ack-ro-pora

Montipora: Mon-TIP-o-ra, as opposed to monti-pora

well..... I think thats actually the correct scientific pronunciation since its from the greek Akron hence why almost all scientists pronounce it that way.
Edit: its the root word that you get for the Acropolis, and I think they just go with that way of saying here as well.

Akron + Polis = City summit
Akron +Pora = Pore (in this case corralite) at the top (summit)
