This guy has sold 11 since May 24th.
Stinks for all you guys waiting in line.
I feel for ya. I have one because I got lucky but this really pi$$es me off.
I had the chance to buy one from BRS when they called (already had mine from another site) and told them to pass it on to the next guy in line as I didn't need it anymore and definitely didn't want to be like the guy above selling at 100% markup.

I'd like to know how he got his hands on 11 units!

Lists. Unique emails. Friends. Family. Deals. People know how to game the system. Any system. Unless the business checks addressed or payment information (and even then people will use multiple cards) this happens.

Edit: Also will note that Neptune did say that they would not support units purchased via EBAY / third party. Of course there is no way for them to do this so no idea why they would say it but I guess it is a good sound bite...

Still with all those resources to obtain a trident I don't see how it's possible to get 11 lol I was on 2 lists and with 2 different lfs and it still took me a month to get my hands on 1. I know it possible of course i'm just shocked.

50/50 split with Terrence :p

Buy it off eBay or someone without an original purchase receipt and I’m sure Neptune will ask questions. That’s how they’ll probably deny people

Neptune requested my original purchase receipt for something years ago. I assume they still use that method.

What about if you won it in a Raffle?
Most legit resellers/vendors will provide you proof of purchase somehow if its from a raffle. Main question is it a manufacture or distributor sponsored raffle? If the manufacture was involved I'd say you're covered. If it was a distributor raffle you may have to go through that particular channel for support if the manufacture was to push back on warranty coverage. Thus the reason behind MAP pricing. Manufactures seem to frown upon price gouging.

Any time I buy anything 'used' that has time left on the original owner warranty I ask for the receipt. If the seller cannot or will not provide it, I don't buy.

Oh my. This is horrible :( I know people do it with game systems (limited edition majoras mask 3Dsxl with skull kid figurine, anyone?) but I didn’t know they do this with aquatic supplies as well. Sheesh. Scalpers suck.

My advice generally (and to my teen sons specifically) is to not play this 'game'. None of these things are actually rare, they are just initially scarce. Patience is, after all, a virtue apparently.

Did you see the list of dates and prices?
Assuming he paid the $600.00 that's out of pocket $7,200.00 not including tax.
He sold the initial 11 for 13,950.00
So profit around $6,750.00 give or take. Outbound shipping and all.

Not illegal but to all of the ones who want one and have been waiting so very frustrating.

Don't forget 10% to eBay and 3% to PayPal, closer to $4500 profit after fees and shipping. I wonder if they are going to report those sales to the IRS

Oh thats right, I dont sell stuff on the internet often or like ever, so I forgot about those fees. Still making money though.
Still wondering even on lists and the like how one person can get ahold of so many.

Yes. Neptune does this with most everything. They treat their customers like someone is trying to scam them even if it's simple tech support that is needed.

Probably running some kind of app or script that checks websites for stock.

Its a shame people can't get a trident then some people get more then one...wish there was a more fair way to get them out
When i had issues with mine i had to prove i had purchased it from brs and show my receipt. They took care of it(neptune) and sent me a new one and i shipped the old one back.but i didnt have to prove i got it from a supplier
