Here's where a dozen Tridents went

Its a shame people can't get a trident then some people get more then one...wish there was a more fair way to get them out
When i had issues with mine i had to prove i had purchased it from brs and show my receipt. They took care of it(neptune) and sent me a new one and i shipped the old one back.but i didnt have to prove i got it from a supplier

You seem to have contradicted yourself. Or I am misinterpreting your post.
One sentence you say you had to prove the purchase from BRS.
The following you say you did not have to prove the supplier.

Having to show them the reciept from BRS does validate the purchase from a supplier, or am I missing something?

Can you clarify what you are saying? Thanks

I'm not sure what my Trident is telling me to be honest at the moment though. Up since last week and the only thing I see my tank consuming, assuming the trident is accurate, is alk. And I did a 10 gallon water change yesterday so would have expected it to bump up a little. Nadda...

Maybe my test corals and clam are starting to consume but would have thought all the parameters went down. Not just alk.

I am going to answer or help hijack this thread for this one post and then, saf1 please repost your question in the proper Trident forum.

If its been running for a week then calibrate the Trident.
(You probably did that already, and hopefully not right out of the box.)

Then check the results with your manual test kits, to compare.
Once I did my calibration all my tests matched up like for like.
If I had a question on the Trident's current result I check it manually.
So far my manual equipment has matched the Trident within a very small margin.
So I have no reason so far to doubt my results from the Trident. Your situation and results may vary.

@UCF Alum and group, my apologies on the hijack.

Hi - I will. It was sort of a well, its working thing or maybe just excited to finally have one :) And no, I've not calibrated it. The instructions said to wait for a week or so. Also I've not even tested alk to compare but will do that.

I'll move it once I find the proper forum. I guess Neptune sub. Thanks and also sorry to hijack.

The eBay seller is providing a premium service for people with plenty of money and less patience perhaps?

Sometimes when I need a “thing” sooner than later I’ll pay the money and be happy to get it ASAP. If I can’t find it for sale anywhere then I have to wait and might not ever get it.

Is it “fair” that people with money don’t have to wait sometimes?

Life is not fair.

Also, people with money don’t need a warranty. When it breaks they simply buy another one. Who knows if this seller may only have one customer?
