Hermit crab reef safe?

Blue and scarlet hermit crabs have always been 100% reef safe for me. Algae and Halloween hermit crabs have also been totally safe. I also have assorted mix of "unknown" hermits that I've been collecting and none of them have bothered any of my corals, either.

also if you dont have white light turn off the aquarium lights and use a flashlight

Not giant reds, pretty sure that's it. Because they occupy emperor conch shells they don't really do well with coral let alone fit in the average tankis this a reef safe hermit crab? TIA and may i know the id?

Yes they are reef safe. I probably have 20 of them and this pair lived about 10 years so they were pretty big, like a ping pong ball.

They are reef safe, but if you don’t have enough empty shells laying around they will kill snails for their shells.
