Hermit crab reef safe?

is this a reef safe hermit crab? TIA and may i know the id?

Blue and scarlet hermit crabs have always been 100% reef safe for me. Algae and Halloween hermit crabs have also been totally safe. I also have assorted mix of "unknown" hermits that I've been collecting and none of them have bothered any of my corals, either.
 
Yes they are reef safe. I probably have 20 of them and this pair lived about 10 years so they were pretty big, like a ping pong ball.




The one in my avatar is a local New York crab and I also have a bunch of them.
 
They are reef safe, but if you don’t have enough empty shells laying around they will kill snails for their shells.
