Hey everyone starting a reef pi build

Unfortunately I can't help you with the error above, however, looking at your connection and comparing it to pin-out, they do not appear to be correct.

I have Mikes HAT V2, and from what I understand they are pretty much identical other than LED indicators and smaller connectors. That being said, the picture indicates that you are hooked up to pins 8,9,10,11,22,23,24; then in Reef Pi your outlets reference pins 5,6,13,16,19, 20, 26,21. So you would either need to change to the correct pins in Reef Pi or hook up to the corresponding pins on the HAT. As for "reversed", and someone can correct me, is used depending on whether the relay is wired as "normally open" or "normally closed". Does the ADJ have 12v or 5v relays?

The UI error looks is probably from a deleting a driver that was in use on one of the other pages. I haven't found a way to fix it and we haven't added a check to prevent that error yet. In the meantime, you may need to reset the database.

The ADJ relays are 12v. You can double check the wiring to the power strip by testing the voltage on any of these points. They should be 12v, if not, then we can start troubleshooting there.

If one outlet worked, but the rest do not, then you may have the connector in backwards. My DB9 adaptor had the red strip and pin 1 at the top.

What are the driver settings exactly?
I’ll have to restart I leave in the morning so won’t get to work on it again for about 3 weeks
 
This is a ui related error. Something got botched. Any reason you have to run 3.0?? If possible run 2.5 as 3.0 is still in active development and has lots of incomplete ui bits

Oops I didn’t notice you are setting up the ph board . You have to use 3.0, I’ll cut another beta release this week, some of these bugs have been fixed. Albeit we still have several other ui things to sort out

so now i can get one outlet to work somehow outlet 1 was working on PB4 then randomly started working on outlet one if PB7 and PB8 are both on. what could cause that?
 
Probably they are shorted. Check what voltage reading you are getting on the db9 connector pin with db9 wire unplugged, so that if the relay is faulty it wont impact the readings. This will pin point if this is a controller circuit issue or bad power strip issue.

Which pin is ground
 
It sounds like an error in wiring. Were you able to test the voltage on the pads I circled in red above?

The ADJ strip doesn't use ground in the way you might expect. It receives 12v over the DB9 cable and expects the other pins to allow a path to ground in order to turn on a relay. So you won't really find a ground on the power strip or DB9.

There are a few places to get GND on the ML reef-pi hat. Although you are using v3, the v2 pinout is identical. You can reference to GND at any place labeled GND, or at the 5v GND on the bottom left.
