Hey, this stuff really works

Gotta be honest, I feel the guilt. I keep wondering what the downside could be... and it seems like there must be one or people would just do this instead of waiting forever for the tank to get passed the uglies.

I've read that tolerances can be built up to the stuff so it's not a long term solution to balancing the tank... but at least this stuff feels like guard rails keeping things pointed in the right direction.
I understand your position. Group pressure is a powerful force.

I have not come across the subject of cyanobacteria developing a tolerance to these products.

As expected, my skimmer went nuts for 72 hrs then settled back down on it's own. i had the cup drain plug removed and now skimmer is back and chugging away. all cyano spots were gone within a little over 48 hrs. i moved my MP's a little to get more flow in those areas and so far so good. Stuff worked as advertised.

Tank still looks great. I have a small isolated patch of algae that came back but everything looks healthy. No cyano, no slime or hair algae in the sand and 98% of the rock.

This stuff just works.
