Hi, 1st time in these live sales!

I just wait till the sale is over and sort through what's left to see if there is anything I want. I just can't seem to sit through a sale. I tried a couple of times and felt like I was wasting a day that I could be doing something productive. I did like the last tidal gardens sale where they did drops every hour. I just set a timer on my phone for each drop. Timer goes off I pop in and see what dropped and back out doing something else.

Welcome to the Reef

Any experienced, personal tips (other than the ones in the video provided) anyone recommend for 1st timers?
Apple pay..... Faster check outs to secure the sale... More often than you think, you'll add a coral to your cart, by the time you check out its already sold out... Using Apple pay it links faster to your card+shipping info. You can make a purchase in 3 seconds flat.

Thanks a LOT!!! When does this starts?

The TCK sale specifically starts
Saturday and Sunday November 5th and 6th at 1pm ET
and then continuing...
Saturday and Sunday November 12th and 13th at 1pm ET

You’ll basically go to the thread on R2R and TCK will post corals actively on the thread. You click it and add to cart. You’ll also need to be adding a parcel shipping box. On their site you’ll be able to choose delivery date. I mean that’s basically it and these rules apply for every single sale here on reef2reef. Hope this helps and feel free to ask any questions that come your way!
I remember my first sale it was a bit confusing so I really want to take my time here and help fellow reefers. :)

Thanks a LOT! Yes, it's a bit confusing for the 1st time. I think the WWC sale already finished because I can't find anything related to it...

My tip is waiting for Black Friday sales... there are always 'sales' ... but just like in regular retail where sales are advertised off and on all year long, something about that shopping holiday is where the best deals of the year seem to happen...

Have you considered starting your build thread? I found its a great place to document my tank's evolution for myself. I started tank first then joined, so I'm still finding myself going back collecting pictures & updating historically as well as current state. Once you create your first post in your thread and link it to your account, they will give you build badge (look left, under my ID)

This might help you find people local to you in Florida:

This is a good reference book type online article I still review:

Welcome! +1 to what everyone else said. Just remember you won't win every coral you try for. Computers are usually faster than phones. Save your payment info if you can. Pay attention to the rules.

Best advice I can give is engage! Live sales are more fun if you hang out and enjoy the company!
Great advise!!! Thanks a Lot!!!

This is Awesome! Same happen here to me. I started over a decade ago, dismounted and gave away all live stock due to a move and in 2015, started this one. Would love to have a personal blog like you suggested! Let me see if I can find old pics! Again, Thanks for the advise!
