Just getting started with my first saltwater tank. 55 gallon with 10 galllon sump (stand wouldn't allow a bigger size). Just added my first two live critters ( tomato clown and peppermint shrimp). Can't wait to turn this into a reef tank.

Welcome to R2R! If you start to add soft corals like Acans, Blastomussa or Zoas to name a few, the peppermint could cause hard to them so be mindful when/if adding. 55 gallon's a great starter size. Any plans to add a nem?

Welcome! That’s a nice size to start with it will give you some options and be more forgiving than a smaller nano without all the “money” of a larger one!
