I will have many questions. I had a bc 6 years ago ...bf beer cap cracked the glass had to rehome everything. Just purchased a 32 gal bc. Have been recycling it last 3 to 4 weeks. Have a cleaner crew and 4 chromis. All test results are good. Haven't done a alkilinity test yet. Just purchased a hairy mushroom because they are hardy but it hates me. I have 2 power heads in it with 3 light modes and it does not want to come out. Any suggestions?

The ones that came with it for now. Just added a 240 power head but my 425 will be here friday.what are parameters ....its 32 gallons

I'm not being smart in any way. I lost my son a little over a year ago and I now have brain issues so some things I ask or say might be stupid....that's why I'm doing a tank I need to find some peace

Parameters would be your water quality. So like your ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, phosphate, alkalinity, calcium, magnesium are all the primary ones that most reefers test for :)

marietta welcome to r2r! Parameters are water parameters. The big ones are salinity (1.026), temp, alkalinity, calcium, magnesium, nitrate and phosphate. Your tank may be a bit young for the mushroom you bought. Since your tank is new, you will want to test ammonia. This should be zero. Also some quick tips make sure you use ro/di (reverse osmosis deionized) water to make salt water and for top off of evaporated water. If you don’t have access to this I would consider buying one. However you can use steam distilled water from the grocery store as a second choice. I am sorry to hear about your son.

We have a rd/oi and I bought an ammonia checker that hangs on the tank. My salinity is 1.021. Thank you. Only thing I haven't done was check the alkality

What a nice name!!
