Welcome!!! You adjust salinity by making up some saltwater with fresh RO/DI water with the salt mix of your choice. Since you want to raise salinity in your tank, do it slowly by adding saltwater to make up for evaporation instead of fresh RO/DI water. Once your salinity is up to the level you want, 1.024 -1.025, maintain it there by adding fresh RO/DI water to top off the tank as evaporation removes only the hydrogen and oxygen atoms and leaves the minerals behind. Some minor drifting of the level of salinity is fine. Just remember to make any and all changes gradually. So to recap, add saltwater, mixed to the proper specific gravity, to make up for evaporation in your tank. Once the correct salinity is achieved in your tank, switch to fresh RO/DI to make up for evaporation.
That is a great source ...so much info...thank youWelcome
