Hi!
I’m newish to the saltwater community and very new to the reef aquarium hobby. I’ve kept freshwater aquariums for about 30 ish years and decided to dive headfirst into a mixed reef aquarium. I’ve converted mt 240 gallon freshwater aquarium into a (hopefully) mixed reef aquarium. I will have approximately 200lbs of live rock and 200lbs of live sand in it. I started the process at the beginning of the year and am about to get the real live rock and live sand tomorrow! I have a few fish (2 clowns, 2 pajama cardinals, 1 rabbitfish, 1 lawnmower blenny) in a 40 breeder waiting for the cycle to complete. I do have a few corals, but I’m not at all confidant in them. They are in the 40 breeder as well, but as this is my first jump into corals, it’ll be a journey to keep them alive. Anyway, looking forward to having a blast, and staying alive while I spend money and explain why i need the latest gadget!

Thanks! I've gone ahead and done just that. Seems like a good way to keep everything documented and get some good advice when I inevitably start to run off the rails.Welcome! Glad you joined. Sounds like you are well on your way!
Have you considered starting your build thread? I found its a great place to document my tank's evolution for myself. I started tank first then joined, so I'm still finding myself going back collecting pictures & updating historically as well as current state. Once you create your first post in your thread and link it to your account, they will give you build badge (look left, under my ID)
This is a good reference book type online article I still review:
