High Nitrates!!!

I don't want to take this thread off track. I would suggest posting a question about this in the reef chemistry forum. Randy moderates that forum and can explain it a lot better than I can.
Okay I’ll definitely do that. I’m going to leave it at this there’s many ways to do things in this hobby and many ways that work for different people. For me I add minerals to my top off water. Sorry to get sidetracked op!

That is not part of the equation. If nitrates are high, then water changes are done to lower them.; have a good evening.

In other words you understand some of the "mechanism" of the nitrogen cycle, but not how to apply it in practical applications..........Have a good evening; I'm done.

My Nitrates are really high at the moment and i’m going to get my first fish tomorrow because my tank is fully cycled and i’m wondering if some tap water conditioner will solve the problem
100 nitrates won't bother a fish I've kept them in nitrates way over that, their all just fine. But a water change wont hurt.
