High PO4 - SPS Polyp retraction

The GFO will bind-up quickly. If you went active with a pump and reactor, it has likely bound all that it will. When you take it off, the water level will go back up as the aragonite unbinds. You will likely be very near to where you begun with only a slightly lower number.

I would not ghost feed anything. You have enough residual phosphate. Just use some ammonium to supply nitrogen.

So what would you do? Just leave the GFO? Its a pretty small tank (20g) and I am not sure…

Well ok.. then ill stop ghost feeding.. what type of ammonium? Is there a product you’d recommend?

You just need to take the GFO off before you change water or do anything else to lower the water-level po4 since it can unbind. I have used Ammonium from the hardware store before - ACE brand, but I doubt that they have ACE Hardware in Switzerland. :) Anything pure is likely fine and then just do some math to figure out how much to add to keep the ppm low (there might be calculators out there) - it was like drops for me.
