Had for about a month or more. How old, where from, what are the conditions?
It looks little to me (i.e. young - not bad) - I do not think there is HLLE - is it a biota?
The line is what I was starting to wonder aboutLooks stressed or timid but I don’t see any major health concerns. He’s showing his lateral line yes but that doesn’t mean he’s suffering from hlle. A lot of fish have that line. These fish color up really well when they’re comfortable in their surroundings and eating well.
Yea I don’t QT anymore so I can’t help you there lolThe line is what I was starting to wonder about
He is very very active, I think he’s been chasing the sixline . I’m wondering if it’s better for me to just put him in the DT than to keep him in there.
Why not haha. He’s been healthy in there for 3-4 weeks so I think he’s good to goYea I don’t QT anymore so I can’t help you there lol

I might be in that same boat now....Yea I don’t QT anymore so I can’t help you there lol
This is what my YT will look like if his spots expanded. He’s starting to get a faded color near his head and that white line I think has been there since I got him thoughHere are my Biota yellow tangs (all deceased). But you can see in the earlier images they had some pretty bad HLLE. I too was concerned about it when they were alive (came from the LFS like that).

New Yellow Tangs w/ Crypto (possible entry vector - Live Sand?)
So the female clown(the male that I pictured earlier is still alive) and one of the tangs dies. Not sure if anyone can spot disease on them at this point but here they are for reference. I am completely shocked that I have had these clowns for 5+ years and one of them is dead. Was it the tangs...www.reef2reef.com
He looks a lot healthier and acts a lot happier than he did 2-3 weeks agoI know they come in light yellow and almost thin skinned looking from biota but they grow up fast when they’re comfortable.
Yea they’re just babies you know, but in the dog eat dog world they’re from you gotta grow up real quickHe looks a lot healthier and acts a lot happier than he did 2-3 weeks ago
Exactly lol, well I want to seperate them but the DT is only on week 2. But the levels are healthy and been stable.Yea they’re just babies you know, but in the dog eat dog world they’re from you gotta grow up real quick
Is yours a biota as well?At night my yellow tang shows his side bar line, that thick white one. And during the day he’s solid yellow. If he was showing off both lines through the day I would be concerned too. But because yours looks new to the tank I think it’s a matter of adjusting and establishing a habitat for your pet to thrive in.
Yes I would agree. A fish that eats good is a healthy fish in my opinion. But tangs are so susceptible to illness over stress that I wouldn’t risk it either.Exactly lol, well I want to seperate them but the DT is only on week 2. But the levels are healthy and been stable.
and he eats nori like crazy so maybe he will be better in DT away from that sixline .
No but it was really young and pale when I got it years ago before the banIs yours a biota as well?
