Hobby as a whole: Blessing or curse?

Any more thought to this?

If you are so concerned about the environmental impacts(we all should be) you can also buy aquacultured or captive propagated corals. Or just avoid buying ones that are threatened in the wild. Im sure fast growing zoas that we put in our tanks are far less affected by collecting than slow growing acros. Fish options are more limited despite advances in breeding. Most captive bred fish are clowns and gobies, but I've heard of captive bred tangs and coral beauties.
