i’m trying to buy this torch the guy says it holy grail plz any help i can get

Some of the collectors here I hope can weigh in for you but I imagine number of heads is really important to know as well as maybe getting some pics of the skeleton. Also at least one image under white lights. The blues can be really deceiving.

so i have a pic a the Skeleton it’s the first picture I’m noticing a little brown there is that normal? That’s one head

I dont actually know what brown jelly disease looks like but it doesnt look too jelly consistency. Maybe it's just some diatoms.

It seems to look healthy though! When my tank matures more I'd like to have a few myself.

so u don’t know if if a hg? If any of you towards guys are out there do you mind
weighing in??

If it is legit, dude should have a lineage back to the original source. If not, then pass and do not pay that much for it. You can either show or hide anything in a photo, so the lineage is what matters.

I know its been a bit since this post I'm no expert but I have a 24k holy grail and a asd green tip holy grail and I've seen the og holy grail the 24k has bright green bright yellow and purple blue tip the asd green tip has darker green orange yellow and green tip the og has the same type of green the same orange yellow as the green tip asd except the tip is purple blue also depending on light and flow nutrients colors can vary in intensity

so.....I guess no one can tell from the picture is it is holy grail or not? I am looking to buy one too and following this.

White light pics would help for a correct ID. Also a pic of the skeleton in white lights.

As was already mentioned, colors can be drastically manipulated with all blue lights.

so what are the characteristics of Holy Grail under white lights?

The true color of the polyps, not a heavy manipulated color render by heavy blue lighting.

For example, your typical purple hammer can look black under heavy blues, which is then sold at a higher price.

No idea to be quite honest. But I do know from years of experience, proper ID of any coral needs more then just heavily manipulated blue pics.

I don't buy into the name game of corals. If it looks cool to me, and is a decent price, I'll buy it. Regardless of name or lineage.

yes i have brought both white and blue,"coral made" mini 4" flashlights with me

No. lol

I will ask to see corals under whites. Most knowledgeable LFS owners will know why your asking, and will be more then happy to oblige. If an LFS is trying to be shady, they will not oblige, and I walk away. I have been in nearly every reef shop(least what my google shui can find) in the NY, CT, VT, MA, PA area, and have only been turned down a handful of times.
