Hey guys! This is my 90 gal that I am in the process of hanging my 4 bulb 48" ATI sunpower. I am curious and open to different options on how to hang it. I would appreciate to see how your guys lights are hung, just so I can visualize how it would look hung different ways. Any pictures of your lighting would be appreciated! Thank you

Screw hooks, turnbuckles, and cables... Tank was positioned under the vertical edge of the box beam intentionally :)

Great tank- love that scape!

Get 1/2 metal conduit. Bend it in store if you dont have a bender. Then use the anchors to anchor the conduit to the stand. You can adjust height easily. You just have to figure out how to attach your fixture to the conduit. You could do 2 or three for larger fixtures. You could hang off the conduit if needed. A good paint job on the conduit gives a nice pro look. 1/2 copper end pieces fit and finish the ends if they are visible.

You can have a clean light mount custom to your light and tank. It will only cost you 10 bucks or so.

I mounted a 3/4 piece of electrical conduit to the back of the tank with conduit brackets. Then I painted it black and mounted 2-Hydra 52s and a Hamilton 250 MH. I know it is a very basic design, but it is very sturdy and easily adjustable.

This is when I had a Reef Breeder Photon 48 mounted to it.

If your tank is close enough to the wall you can mount the conduit to it, instead of the tank.

Here's photos of mine. On my reef I wish I painted it black. It hides it and makes it looks more professional.

The other photo is my son's turtle tank. This one I painted but I never cut the excess off or capped it. That's would finish it off nicely. Maybe I will fix it up today.

Awesome pictures guys! Thank you!
My tank is kinda off centered from the wall studs and I really don't want to move the tank... so I think I'm going to go with the ceiling mount. The wooden braces in the attic don't line up either, so I'm thinking of bracing some 2x4's between the braces and mounting into those? What would be a good screw to mount to the wooden brace... A good sized wood screw?

I also do like the conduit idea, but I am just afraid the weight of the light will bend the tubing?

I think 2 or 3 1/2 conduit would hold a lot. You could even go with 3/4 conduit. With three of those I bet you could push 250lbs. Pick them up at hd and give them a try on the work bench. They are about $4 a piece. If you get them and they seem too weak then you can dive into the attic.
