How did you convince your spouse???

Begged and pleaded with my puppy girl eyes. He loves to make me happy. Even tho it was a bumpy row but we are doing well now

We discussed on getting a tank for our son. He was one at the time haha. Then we discussed whether on getting a fresh or salt. I said salt is less smelly and looks better. So she went with it. So now here I am trying to figure out a way to convince her to get a bigger or another tank.

My wife is awesome. She keeps me from going (too) crazy in the hobby. Just got done painting an old stand...the new tinker-tank project begins shortly. Bwahahah!

I had a tank when I was single, a 30gal high tank. I think I had it eight years. Since then i married, I have been talking about getting a tank again for years.. I priced out the tank and all accessories.... but the finances are tight. We are just finishing our basement. As part of the basement I have electricity, internet and a wash basin setup behind the wall for a small fish back room. Just tapped out right now. Most likely will buy a 60-90 gal setup from craigslist used to get going and then try to save for a 150 down the road. My wife is pretty cool about it. She has been looking online for used as well for me. The cabinet is probably her biggest concern.... she hates the cheap pine ones.

Easy there! Though it does seem as if the hobby is dominated by males, there's quite a contingent of ladies with....purple thumbs.

Thank you for standing up for the ladies. I have been in the hobby for 15 years. At one point had five tanks. Have down sized to 3 tanks. 125g and 40g reef tanks and a 165g predator tank. My husband supports me but I pretty much do everything including maintenance and testing.
