How do I Quite my overflow!?

It looks like I have the exact tank you have.

had the same problem when I install a new larger pump to make up for about 22' of head pressure. I found out when I installed my FMK module from Neptune Systems I was only getting about 184 gpm. After I installed the new pump it went to 725 gpm. That will cycle my tank a little over 10 times a hour.

I turned the flow of the return pump up and turned the flow of the drain pipe down. This will cause the tank level to rise enough over the two holes on the side and now it won't make the loud noise.

I used a couple gate valves in my system. It made a world of difference with the noise factor. Gurgling stopped once I got it adjusted with the valves. I am in a rural community and it's hard to find anything but ball valves locally, so I ordered them through PVCfittingsonline. <*}}}><

I actually did not know my pump had a valve built in. I turned it down it quited it down alot but still a little gurgle. Should I drill the air hole a little bigger?

I had the same problem and I Raised the level of water on the 3rd chamber in the overflow (1st Chamber is the box inside the DT, 2nd is where the syphon comes over and then the 3rd is where the second overflows and then connects to a down pipe to the sump.) I did this by taking a 4" long piece of pipe with a smaller diameter and putting it in vertically.
Think about when you are brushing your teeth or emptying a bath or flushing a toilet. You don't hear the drain sound until the air is introduced into the drain itself and the water level gets low.

Just install a valve on your return line, at the exit under the tank. Set it to where water level does not change in the overflow box once it starts draining. The problem is your return pump cannot generate the flow that your drain can drain. If you had a pump with a higher flow rate than your draining capacity you would have water level continue to rise in the display.

You will also need to add a hole at the top of the durso just above and inline with the stand pipe. I would recommend a tee onnthe stabd pipe, you add a hole to a cap and cap open end.

I guess I'm crazy but I love the sound my overflow makes haha. I sleep right through it!

If it's steady, it can function as "white noise", sort of like the sound of surf for those with beach houses. It can mask things like trucks driving by in the middle of the night, the distant rumble of trains, emergency response vehicles, distant exploding transformers . . .

Try a "Herbie drain". In my tank I use both the drain and the return as drain lines. One has a gate valve closed partly to make it run at a full siphon. The second is an emergency drain in case a snail or something makes it into my partly closed main drain line. I then have my return going up over the back with a u tube return. If you google "Herbie overflow" there are sights that explain it. Super easy to do and literally 100% silent.
