What would you consider the best way to cut egg crate?

I snip it with a pair of diagonal pliers (wire cutters.)

Dremel in my opinion is the easiest way. Where are you all buying this from? My lowes does nor carry it. The only place I have found around me that had some only sells out in like a ten pack for $75.

+1 wire/bone cutters.

Home depot here sells it in individual sheets. It's in the section where they have industrial tiles. Lowes here doesn't have it.

I use a pair of dikes. I like the hot Knife idea a lot though. Snipping it with dikes does leave sharp edges.

not to mention any snipping action makes a heck of a mess! haha. I have little plastic rectangles everyhere when I cut this stuff! I get it at ace hardware by the lights and use scissors. i have discovered putting a bag around the piece while cutting reduces my mess

I use carpet sheers, and then I usually get any remaining sharp edges with a pair of toenail clippers.

i get it from ace hardwear

Hot knife is a great idea...if I only had one. I am planning on using (see word planning, wife is really slowing down the build process here) either my mini bolt cutters or my cable cutters (both left over from my firefighting days)
