How do you cut your egg crate?

Dremel Multi tool, it's one of those all in one vibratory cutters, works great with a fine wood blade on it set at 1/2 speed.

Radial arm saw and then I run it on a belt sander to clean up any little nubs.

Dremel in my opinion is the easiest way. Where are you all buying this from? My lowes does nor carry it. The only place I have found around me that had some only sells out in like a ten pack for $75.

The Home Depot near me has it in the lighting section and sells it in single sheets. It's actually a light diffuser. If you go there asking for egg crate, they'll look at you like your wierd. Ask me how I know. LOL

That's funny! I had the opposite experience. I was sure it was called light diffuser and no one in the store could find it. I finally found it on my own and it had a sticker on it that said "egg crate".

I don't cut them.. I use pliers or a screw driver or whatever will fit between them and apply pressure. Once you get started you can just slam right through it. They break easy enough

I use a band saw with a fine tooth blade. cuts it like butter with perfect precision

What I would like to know is how did it become known as egg crate in the first place. lol
