I use 6 MP40’s on my 140-ish gallon, but only 5 have wifi chips, so one is on full-time 40% or so, and the rest are 15-80% with a mix of lagoon, reefcrest, pulse, and constant

enough flow you won’t need to worry about sway, it will just happen... will depend what is where, how it grows, etc
