How far would you drive or have you driven for a "good deal" when it comes to livestock or a tank set up?

Give us the details! What did you buy? Where did you go? How much did it cost?

Does driving down to @HotRocks house for fish count? If thats the case it was 350 miles one way ;Hilarious But for healthy, pre-quarantined fish that I can put right into the display (and visiting my two good buddies) totally worth it :)

I had to look up the conversion but my former LFS's - there is about half a dozen stores I used to frequent before moving away that I still visit a couple times a year instead of every other week or so are about 645km away so just under 400 miles. In fact I'm going to do some coral shopping this weekend and it doesn't even have to be a good deal, I just want something new! * this post makes me sound rich and reckless but the first half is for sure not true. I'm not planning on spending a lot just home / fish store sick. If I get a couple of frags and a fish or 2 I will be thrilled.

I've driven 100+ miles each way in the past for a deal.
A few months ago I drove down to a store in Oregon ( from Olympia Washington) for corals.
That trip was about 250 miles, round trip.
I drive about a 120-140 mile round trip to my 3 favorite fish stores every couple months.

Especially when you can make it on a single tank of gas :)

I got the good end of the deal. Healthy disease free coral delivered to my door haha!

My furthest drive has been about 1.5 hours. Well that's not true, I drove 6 hrs one way to pick up @4FordFamily's wall tank. Indy to Pittsburgh. Well worth the trip!

I’m about to drive 900 miles round trip to a LFS. Well, I’m also meeting a realtor to get my house sold (recently moved). Going to bring some frags back while I’m in town :-)
At 450 miles away, I don't think that would be a "local" fish store anymore!

Where abouts in Oregon did you travel to?
