How long does it take for a acan to start growing?

That is really good growth in that timeframe!
I have replicated it with my favias, Duncan, trachy, bowerbanki, scoly, lobo, fungia, etc basically anything that accepts pellets get them.

It just makes them all grow like nothing I’ve ever seen. There’s not much waste either like there is with roids. They are able to hold onto it and consume it receiving significantly more nutrition.

So now I only use roids and cyclops on chalices, cloves, gonis, and other stuff with small mouths. Everything else gets isos, mysis, and a few other things.

Pellet feeding is the truth.

Ignoring the flatworm outbreak to the left my Polyp size didn't grow but as you can see about 6 new baby polyps emerged that I didn't even notice until I saw them all at once. There are more baby polyps than there are original. I've had that frag maybe 3 months or so
