Ahhh - My Butler. The electronic guy that while im at work, turns my lights on, doses for me, Feeds the fish and monitors temperature PH and which I can see what he is doing right on my phone or laptop.
The list goes on - Its a must have.

Curious how many people use fully functional reef controllers(ie apex, hydros, ghl, etc). Not counting things like wifi power strips or single function controllers(ie ph controllers)
I love having a controller as I travel a lot for work and makes having a tank possible. I use Apex, it's cheaply made (crap quality) but you can do really cool stuff with it and the price was fairly acceptable even though it's garbage on the inside. So far I don't regret getting it.

Hydros 4 but I only use for ph ,temperature monitoring and to turn on/off fan ,fish feeder ( avast plank). I use two ph probes . One for tank and other to see when kalk reactor needs to get recharged( ph will drop below 12).edit; I also use this to auto top off my ro container by level eye with float valve backup. Actual tank top up is by tunze controller

Hi. I am using a GHL aqua computer
from the very beginning of my journey in this hobby.
From the beginning it was Profilux 2
Now this is already a new GHL and I also have a GHL dispenser installed in the KN director of GHL
I love the management and quality of these products .... maybe I'm just used to this brand by now.

Agreed no plans to go to the 2016 model either. Got my setup: classic controller, x2 EB-8's, and a EB-4 for under 300 bucks. Just needed a ORP and a PH probe to get started. Only addition was a PM2, which was a waste of my time (money) ultimately.
I do have to give credit to Neptune for including these older controllers in Fusion support. It's really what makes it an amazing arrangement. Hopefully that policy continues.

I bought the Hydros 4 last year and it has been awesome. Especially the ATO Water level sensor and the Skimmer cup level sensor have saved my bacon a few times. I'm looking at an additional controller for a second macroalgae aquarium in the near future if the black Friday sales cooperate with the bank account.

IF YOU HAD TO TAKE A REEFING EXAM, WOULD YOU PASS?
