43 some odd fish with probably another one this weekend. And I definitely have nitrates and phosphates...

Even with high nitrates and phosphate?

I'm running a refugium with chaeto but ill look into this cause I really want to grow coralline and maybe put SPS in the future.

I have 14 fish with a 10x14 screen lite on both sides I had 0's dinos . So I am running 10 x5 and my nutrients are stable now. With 16 fish I would go with at least 10x6 or 10x7 screen lite on both sides for 14 hour a day reverse of your tank lights . Just clean the algea off every one to two weeks it's like magic. And you still get pods .
