How many LFS are in your area

Exactly im not even naming petcos etc. i rather go to a private owned lfs more selections better prices etc.

If I was adding in Petco then there would be 14 within a 20 mile radius

I worked at a saltwater store 15 years ago, the owner moved to Hawaii and it was closed down! I was hired at Petco as the fish manager and it was ran by a former manager of Hilton Hotels! I told the whole staff that I had never seen such neglect and uneducated people working around animals! He fired me, lol! I don't count those as pet stores neither!

I'm not going to lie my local petco does Carrie and have some nice coral but the fish in the tanks look terrible so I would never buy from there. Know if this was all that I had I would purchase from them.

I drive 45 mins pasted 3 other LFS to get to the one that gets my dollars. But, If I drive 45mins the opposite direction I run into WWC.

We're very lucky to have a couple great LFS and several good ones in central FL

Florida has great LFS! I live 3 thousand miles away...

Haha. Yeah the peaches are ok, but our top two exports are peanuts and cotton. Dont really know why we are the peach state. We should be the "boiled peanut" state because they are the best you will ever eat!!

I grew up in Georgia and yes the boiled peanuts are delicious. You mentioned boiled peanuts in Northern Virginia and people are like what are you talking about.

I'm in Charlotte NC, and we have 1 extremely nice lfs, 4 good lfs, and 1 that is just soso. So in total we have 5 the farthest one being about 30mins from my house, and the closest being under 10mins away. Of course the best one (&my go to shop) is ~30mins away. Well worth the drive tho

There is one 2 minutes away from my house, and 3 total in my small town of Venice FL.

we have about 5 in the twin cities, minnesota. not counting petco's or whatever. obviously theyres gonna be more fish stores closer to the coasts. specially in florida, but we have a strong local reef club which helps. when your looking out your window at snow all winter its nice to have a piece of paradise downstairs! tcmas.org

I visited Savannah earlier this year. Wasn't super impressed with the livestock. They do seem to carry more equipment than most of the stores in the Minneapolis area.
