How much electric does your tank cost you?

$22mo for approximatey 120 gallons of water on two tanks according to Apex. Its probably slightly lower than that because my electric cost changes based on time of day and I don't care to do the math for a more precise number

Just a thought on costs... KWH pricing is deceptive and you can't go on what the utility company says. If you want to know what your actual KWH price is you need to take the actual amount of the bill (including fees, taxes etc.) and divide by the KWH usage. Thats also of course excluding any budget billing. Using that calculation my actual KWH cost, last month, is 410.27/2534 = 0.16191 and I have one of the lowest cost utilities in the country.

I’m at about $250/mo for my system. 800g total system, no heaters or chiller, 21 lights, 16 power heads, and 46000L/H of return pumps. All LED’s, all pumps are DC. I think this is about as efficient as possible. Also just installed a 44 panel 18kW solar array so hopefully that will absorb about 80% of my consumption.

I have 1 x 200g and 1 x 180 g with a 5 radion lights total, 5 powerheads and the usual other items. I live in sunny San Diego and have solar with 2 x tesla power wall batteries for both back up and power management (use up to 60% once the sun goes down) which lasts until about 4 am in the summer so only a couple of hours without solar or battery power. My bill is still negative May/June/July. I also charge an electric car and 2 eBikes from same solar.

Mine is north of $250.00 per month. But my system is 850 gallons. I just added 67 solar panels to my home to offset my electricity. The power company limited me to 67 panels as there in a cap on what you can produce in a residential home.
My solar panels cover 19 hours a day of my energy use now. I only pay for 5 hours per day of energy now. I haven't received my first electric bill yet, but I am really looking forward to the power savings.

Do you also have battery storage? I have 2x Tesla power walls - which charge with excess electricity from the day and then discharge (to preset level which i keep at 40%) during night time. This is also my power back up in case of blackout.

I have a 40 KW generator for back up power. Duke energy would NOT allow me to build a bigger grid, they capped my project at 67 Panels, so I can't even produce what I need let alone store any access. Every day I fall short of power produced vs what is needed. I consume 170 kWh per day, I produce about 120 kWh per day. So I'm short about 50kWh each day.
They will not allow me to add any more panels to my residential system.

I'm here with you, it doesnt help that we live in a city where kWh is over $.20 each month and price is manipulated each month.

I average $270-340 in the winter, in the summer....I prefer no to disclose the numbers.

Pre-solar panels with that usage per day; your bill in NY would have been in the $1200-1400 range/month

You're correct.

Plus most people are looking ONLY looking at supply cost and not combining it with delivery.

Florida has pretty decent rates (per kWh) from what I've seen recently.

Every utility uses that same graph to shame everybody into submission.

Mine looks similar to yours while my parents who use about 390 kWh (below my efficient neighbors) are shamed with efficient neighbors who use like 90 kWh which I don't know how that (3 kWh/day) would be possible.
