How often do you catch yourself in a lost state staring at your setup?

My tank is in my Man Cave and I stare at it all the time. Often I see something that I haven't seen in months or even years that I didn't even realize was still alive.

My wife has little to no interest in the tank but when I used to have mojano's she used to love to kill them. This was about 10 years ago and I don't have any mojanos any more but she wants me to add some so she can kill them.

I think she wants to use the thing on me.

Multiple times a day. Then my girlfriend walks up and tries to find a reason for me to stick my arm in the tank. For some unnecessary maintenance or to move something around.

Have you ever just found yourself just lost in your own “Atlantis” creation? Just in awe of the things you spent time and money on which makes you wanna go bigger? I know I do, I also look around my home wondering where I can put up another without the wife killing me lol. Tell me what your thoughts are when you find yourself lost in your “Atlantis”

It's in our bedroom, so I stare all the time. The SAD part is, it's in the start-up cycling phase with some snails and an inch-long watchman goby in it... So I'm STARING AT NOTHING!!!

At least a couple time a day! My daughter thinks it's very funny, she's named it "the dad stare" and has posted pics of me doing that on her social media....hahaha
Of course her and my wife are right up there doing the same thing when something new goes in the tank but they don't admit it!

I really want to expand but I need to wait until I get my own place but I need to expand in order to get my own place. What do.

It happened so often I finally gave in and put a recliner in front of my tank, barely turn on my TV any more after work, rather watch my tank.
