How Reef Mineral Salt works

It does contain magnesium.

Apologies, I now understand your question and its a good point. For me, it is clearly not enough as I have to continually dose Magnesium as the levels in the Mineral Salt did not keep up with consumption. It would be good to know the answer to this from someone in Aquaforest as in theory, my situation should not happen as Mineral Salt would be putting in the same levels of Magnesium that is being consumed.

The question - how much? Remains...

I use aquaforest full 2 part with strong and supplements, but some folks around here wanted to use th reef mineral salt as an option for DIY 2 part... as people often do with Tropic Marin...

I thought AF is a 3 part balling system not 2 part unless we mix 2 of them together. Last time I checked with them it was just like the normal salt level but I think they can explain it better. @Aquaforest

I have just switched over to Aquaforest Reef Salt and the Magnesium tested 1500+ ppm on a freshly mixed batch!! It is going to be interesting to see if by mixing in Magnesium with the Aquaforest Mineral salt (which I do) will now push my Magnesium much higher over next several water changes.
One comment about their Reef salt is that it mixes super quick so very impressed so far but I will let my corals be the judge on how good the salt actually is!
