How tall is your stand?

My 100G stand is 34". It is in my dining room and is normally viewed while sitting down so I put everyone in chairs and determined the ideal viewing angle from that. My 16G nano in the living room is normally viewed by the Grandkids so I built that stand at 30" for their viewing height, adults have to sit down or bend over but that tank is for the kids.

My 180 gallon tank stand is average height which is perfect to view when sitting. I plan on building another stand to make it higher because I'm going with a bigger skimmer and bigger sump. Viewing my tank without bending down will be nice and all that room under the tank will also be lovely..thinking of going 42.

For Me 40" was the magic number to fit my Cad 70

I`m stoked with the finish

The stand for my 100 is 42". My tank is only 3" taller than yours and I thinks it's a near perfect viewing height without having to bend or be uncomfortable. Yes it requires a stool or chair to get up and into the tank for coral placement or moving things around but aside from that the height isn't an issue for me and I'm only 5'9

I always have the stand built to where my arm pit is slightly above the tank . This can vary from tank to tank . Arm pit to floor measurement is taken . I subtract the tank height = stand height .
I do this so I can reach all areas of the tank without using a step ladder or stool . BTW, I am the same height as you .
If viewing pleasure is a preference (while sitting ) you may want to go with 36 inches .

Pretty much what I was gonna say! I'm 6' and don't like stooping down to look in the tank, but at the same time would like to reach over the top and into the tank easily enough. Tough balance.

I am also planning a 40g breeder and have a 36" stand picked out at lfs. I'm 6'3" so I would like to add an approx 12" base, anyone have any plans?
