Hey guys, I have an issue with a delayed shipment from UPS. I purchased a frag from a member on R2R last week. I provided label for the frag to be shipped out on Thursday, 5th to arrive on Friday, 6th. Come Friday, the tracking info never updated from In Transit, and instead, delivery date was rescheduled to Monday, 9th. Now it says tracking rescheduled to Tuesday, 10th. I called and explained the situation to see if I could intercept package from the facility, but they said its locked up in a trailer due to high shipping volumes and cannot be accessed until they get to it.

Does any one have experience with this sort of issue? I am wondering how long the acro can last with heat packs (probably ineffective at this point) and if I can put a claim on the package when it arrives. Any input would be appreciated!

What's the tracking info I'm a UPS driver I could get the inside scoop possibly

I have had same issue and was with UPS,
What you needed to do was have shipper ship for pick up at local facility but again, you would expect UPS to do their job, hence to you this is a coral,,,, to them it is JUST a PACKAGE,
In my instance 2 of 5 corals did not make it. How it was packed will be a factor, but that is a LOT of days without water movement, oxygen and light.
Winter is a tough time to ship and I Suggest have any live shipments to ship NO later than Wednesday to allow arrival to make it by at least Friday.
I hope by now , you've contacted seller for resolution and see if it was insured for loss.

I spoke to the customer support on site at the Ontario, CA facility where the package is at currently and they told me that they are experiencing heavy volume due to holiday shipping and haven't gotten to unloading the trailer that my package is inside.

I provided the label to the seller. I insured it for the amount that I paid the seller, but how would I be able to put a claim on it? Another rep that I spoke to mentioned that as long as the box arrives to my place, be it tomorrow or next year, I can't file a claim cause it isn't a lost shipment. Doesn't matter the content.

I'm in Florida so I'm a long way away but I found out your package arrived on December 6th got left in the building set The Weeknd and got left in the building again today says it'll be out for delivery tomorrow however who's to say it's not going to get left again I would call 1 800 pick ups and file a corporate complaint and then possibly they could help you if you want to pick it up in the morning at there facility however I'm positive you can at least get your shipping refunded sorry I wish I could have done more but a solid corporate complaint is a good place to start rip them a good one

Start by getting your money back for service failure for shipping dispute your contents as damaged save the original packing as well as product and they will have to pick it up and inspect it LOL that will smell great.

Should I disclose that the contents were live animals? Or would that be irrelevant to the claim?

Thank you guys for the input! And a special thanks to vinman for following up with UPS directly!!

UPS is bad for claims or getting any refunds. They will never side with you. The coral is a loss for sure. Most retailers ship Tuesdays just in case things like this happen. FedEx is not much better, but they will refund your shipping if they miss the time.

******* thieves. UPS next day air shipping guarantees next-day delivery, "Ideal service for shipments that must arrive the next business day. Time-definite service-or your money back," 4 days late, can't refund due to non-eligibility of claim. UPS warehouse experiencing high volumes is an exclusion for claims. What in the heck is the guarantee for?????? Is this grounds for a legal case? lol false advertisement?

If You don't have to tell them I wouldn't at least they would get stuck with a stinky box LOL

I think your Coral is in here today maybe

LOL holiday rush is real. Jeez I spoke to corporate like you advised and they told me that warehouse delays are excluded from guarantee. I dont understand why their webpage would simply state guaranteed next day or your money back. Should put exclusions apply at least in fine print somewhere.

I got the package on Tuesday. It was very much dead, leaking, and stinky lol
