How to do bryopsis mag treatment?

i did exactly what the test said and it was that low..i dosed the tech m ill check it again 2night

What salt do you use and how often were you performing water changes? That is a ridiculously low Mg.

Well im doing another test right now...if this test kits sucks i just wasted $42!!!

It was the only mag test kit my lfs carried

hmmmm? test it a few times to make sure you keep getting the same result. its just that the lowest mg ive heard of was like 1050

Get yourself an Elos or Salifert Mag test kit. The Salifert is easy to use. You will have to do an extra step when your mag measures > 1500, which is the upper limit of the test kit. PM me if you need any help.

im going to try this 1 twice more if it fails to work..im going to buy a salifert kit off line...anyone know some where that sells those and ships next day?

SeaChem is a great company. I've just never been able to use their test kits.

how much tech m did you dose after you got the 625 test result?

I dosed according to the directions on the bottle if it was 625.....if i overdosed would stuff show signs of stress right now? because everything looks fine..some of my acros polyps are extending more than they usually do

well you should gradually raise to 1600-1800, def not from "625" to 1800 in one pop. generally i would raise 100-200ppm per day to avoid shocking anything
