Just need tips on how to keep a tank clear and not have the tiny white particles moving around.

MAINTENANCE !!
Its a matter of keeping up with water changes, keeping filters clean, running carbon such as ChemiPure Blue and maintaining overall tank health

Mainly just look for filter floss or something that is 100 micron or less would be best. Consistent maintenance also helps to remove debris in the water column

8months .. Double check water every other day. I had a smaller saltwater tank that I just moved over to a bigger one. This one is a 13.5 fluval the old one was 2.5.

Here is cheap home-made water polisher.

I just rigged up a DE filter of reefwiser help. Like 40 bucks since I had the Ehiem pump, fittings and hoses laying around. 20 for the filter housing from Lowes, 10 for food grade DE from Chewys, 9 for the pleated 25 micron cartridge from Lowe’s. Gave it a test run Friday and it worked.

So, I have two tanks plumbed into a single sump. One is an IM 50 Lagoon which is the display tank & the other is an IM25 Lagoon which is a frag tank. I also have a separate refugium. Only the display overflow is plumbed into the roller mat, as that’s where most of the feeding gets done. Both the frag tank and fuge bypass the roller mat, so not all of the bits, bugs & plankton gets filtered out. Same with my UV, which only runs in daytime, when it’s run.

There are at least 2 components to crystal clear, 1) suspended particulates, 2) organic yellowing compounds.
1) is well answered above, if a problem. Some think mechanical filtration takes food away from the corals.
2) can be addressed with skimmer, gac, and for advanced users, ozone or uv light.
Ozone requires special precautions, but does a great job of breaking big yellowing organing molecules into smaller ones that can be captured by the skimmer or gac. I think many public aquariums run ozone since crystal clear is their business.
