I have a cost-effective solution, which works as well as filter socks...

Go to a local craft store and purchase 12inch x 12inch white felt squares. Be sure to purchase WHITE. They come to about 12 cents per square when you buy 100 and my water is as clear now as it was when I used filter socks.

Look around for maintenance H2O2 dosing. Crystal clear water at very low price.
Mainly used against cyano or gha at higher doses, but at lower doses works similar way as ozone
