How to use copper

I'm guessing by the color I have to add more cooper still? And the goal is to get to 2.5 correct?

Look at it from above, not the side. It will be a big difference in the color.

Does it look like he's starting to look okay? The white dots are gone and I haven't seen him rub against rocks. He's a yellow belly tang so not sure if that matters

I'll be honest, I can't tell any difference between this picture and the last. I simply cant' tell if he's gotten better or worse. Did you look at the copper test correctly and determine what level you are at?

I did it looks a bit more organs then I thought. I'm going to do a water change today and add more copper

Hello it looks like he is okay and back to normal. How much longer do I have to keep him in qt

Also does anyone use stress coat and if so does it really help?

He should stay in therapeutic levels of copper for a full 30 days. An additional 2 weeks of close observation is always suggested

I've never bothered with it with saltwater fish, but I know some use it. But DO NOT use it in conjunction with copper. Ever.

Today I just noticed that he was rubbing a bit on the fake rock I have in there. I also saw him swimming by the power head. Is this a sign of something? I raised my cooper level higher to help treat

Swimming into the flow of a powerhead is usually an exclusive sign of velvet. What level is your copper at right now?

I'm not sure if I'm reading this right but does this mean I have to add a lot more cooper still?
It's like a yellowish color

Also how do you know how much copper to add back to the water when I do a water change?

I can't see anything. It's a broken immage

I typically follow the dosing directions on the bottle when adding copper to new water. When testing, I remember if it took a little more or less to get to therapeutic levels and adjust my dosing accordingly.

Can I treat the fish with cooper and also melafix and pimafix?

Those are herbal remedies so they should be fine, but I wouldn't suggest it. Mixing meds without a good reason isn't the safest route to go.

@dromo2189 Have you dosed any antibiotics in conjunction with copper? Also, what is your current Cu level reading?

No I haven't. I added melafix and pimafix today. My cooper i thought was low it was a yellowish color so didn't even register on the chart so I added more today but is it possible I added to much?

Test again to be sure where the level is at. That picture is pretty bad. Kanaplex, Furan2 and metroplex are all safe to combine with copper as long as you are adding extra O2 to the water via an airstone or small powerhead.
