How will a dead coral affect my water quality?

I had glued 4 pieces of Xenia to this rock and I only see 2 pieces. 2 or the xenias have disappeared and I don’t see them in the tank. Did they die? Will that affect my water.
Probably slimed away. Soft corals can't really be glued that well

I got 4 small pieces of Xenia from my LFS yesterday. 2 of them look dead but I am not sure. How will a dead coral affect my water?
They pout and often I see posts with dying coral which are merely stressed and require adjustments to tank to perk them up. Most dead coral have no impact while others may release low level toxins which can be reduced with use of carbon

You should be more worried about the Xenia living. Once this coral starts growing, it will spread everywhere it’s very difficult to eradicate.
I am keeping it on a small rock isolated from everything else

If it’s like Kenya Tree, which I have heard it’s actually worse, it will spread no matter how u try to segregate. Thank god my emporer angel eats Kenya Tree otherwise I’d have that shiiiiiiit all over my 180 g mixed also
