There she is all done! I used wood that was used in the oaking process of wine, the different colors are from the different types of wine and then I filled the holes with corks from those wine bottles
Travertine is a limestone and limestone is very porous. It will stain and hard to remove. Especially if you will be doing tank maintenance on it like test kits which will stain. Forget about putting a glass of wine on it. Granite is ur best bet. Black absolute polished is cheap and tough like nails will not stain.Didn't think of that, which also spawned another idea lol, would be a bit of work but cut a nice log up, plane the slices and square them up into tiles like this

Seam it. You can color epoxy to match color on seam make it look invisibleDid some looking and Menards has granite countertops for $200 24" x 96 so I guess it's Possible, I would have a seam but maybe it won't look that bad
May ask where you found those? They're awesome! There she is all done! I used wood that was used in the oaking process of wine, the different colors are from the different types of wine and then I filled the holes with corks from those wine bottles
Well the winery by my house had a 30 gallon brute can in the back all summer long and I could see these rough pieces of wood sticking out of it so I went and talked to them about it and they explain to me what they were used for and gave them all to me. I had to plane all sides of every board which was actually really easy but I did a backflip when I seen how these boards came outMay ask where you found those? They're awesome!
